Up to 40% of all pupils in fourth grade have some kind of learning difficulty, although the reasons for their difficulties may be quite varied (Aaron, Joshi, Gooden & Bentum, 2008). As a result of this, regular classroom teachers must be equipped with knowledge and tools in order to better understands the needs of the diverse learners in their classes. As all pupils in Israel must learn English, there is even greater urgency for teachers of EFL to gain knowledge and tools to reach and teach all learners, including those who are having difficulties. Therefore, this course includes, along with the theoretical component, a strong practical component where students will tutor pupils with LD in EFL in a workshop format during the second semester.
