Rami Maymon
Born in 1976, Tel Aviv, lives and works in Tel Aviv. bachelor of arts from the Department of Art, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, master’s degree in the Bezalel Master’s Program, Tel Aviv and the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York.
Winner of the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Photography Award for a Young Israeli Artist, Tel Aviv Museum 2015, Rudin Prize for Emerging Photography, Norton Museum of Art, Florida 2015, Minister of Culture Prize on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Culture 2015, Residence and Scholarship in Basel on behalf of Culture-Scapes and IAAB Switzerland 2011, Young Artist Prize from the Ministry of Education and Culture for 2009, the Critics’ Award for the “Mein Jerusalem” Performance, Munich, Germany 2013, the 2013 Mifal HaPais Apprenticeship Scholarship, and the Yehoshua Rabinowitz Fund Scholarship for 2004.

He also participated in group exhibitions in Israel and around the globe. Maymon’s works have been published in catalogs, magazines and periodicals in Israel and around the world. During the years 2002-2005 – photographer in the French fashion and culture magazine Purple, since 2002 he has been teaching in the photography department of Bezalel, the Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and from 2015-2019 served as the director of the photography department at the Faculty of Arts – Hamidrasha, Beit Berl College.
