נאסרין ראבי
Nassrin Rabi is an experienced English language teacher of both primary and intermediate levels. She finished her B.Ed. at Beit Berl College in the excellence program and perused a higher degree at Tel- Aviv University. Her master's degree was in Literature and the field of her research was in American history and the Great Migration that influenced the lives of many African Americans. The thesis topic was- Going North: Issues of Domestic Migration in the Works of Richard Wright and Isabel Wilkerson. She has also been working as a lecturer at Pisgah Centers and has delivered a range of in-service courses that promote the professional development of practicing teachers. In addition, she is a regional counselor in the central district with a learner-centered approach to teaching and she strongly believes that teachers can be empowered to enable their pupils to be responsible for their own learning, in an environment which encourages independent thinking with the guidance and support of the teacher. Rabi is also currently an English language lecturer and pedagogical advisor at Beit Berl College. She has also been an active participant in leadership and educational seminars around the world including the British Council. Rabi is in the advanced stage of completing her PhD studies at Tel Aviv University. She is passionate about Continuing Professional Development for long term change that focuses on teacher development and learning communities of Professional Practice, with a focus on student teachers and practicing teachers as agents of change.
